How do I get rid of red bugs in my Acropora?
Acropora Red Bugs (Tegastes acroporanus) are a common pest in Small Polyp Scleractinian (SPS) reef aquariums. While they are nuisance and may slowly decimate Acropora colonies, there is a successful treatment method that uses Milbemycin Oxime which is a common treatment for dog heart worms.

Staghorn corals use their nematocysts which are located on their tentacles for eating and gaining food. Surprisingly some Acropora species have actually been seen capturing live fish (Sisson 1973). Staghorn corals also eat planktonic animals which float by in the water (McGregor 1974).

zoas and palys can touch but since palys are bigger and have longer stems they usually outgrow zoas and they end up dying. Keep your paramters as stable as you can and your corals will be happy.
Does torch coral sting ZOAS?
They don’t usually sting, and would probably lose a battle with anything that does. They spread, but are usually lower on the aggression list than kenya’s and GSP. As tank said, as long as they aren’t right on top of eachother you are fine.
