Are DT 990 pros worth it?
The Beyerdynamic DT 990 PRO are sturdy critical listening headphones. They deliver an excellent audio reproduction but their open-back design is not ideal for everyday casual use. They will leak a lot, even at low volumes and don’t block any ambient noise. They’re also a bit tight on the head.

Is 80 ohm or 250 ohm better?
At 80 Ohm, the headphones have more bass and less prominent treble. At higher volumes, 80 Ohm will produce even more bass. The 250 Ohm version has a similar bass response but has more high-end to even the sound out more. It also has a bit more mid-bass and sub-bass roll-off.
What’s the difference between DT 990 pro 80ohm and DT 300R Tygr?
I have narrowed my search to the DT 990 pro 80ohm and the 300r TYGR. What are the differences between the two? I’m from the US and currently the price difference is $20. Basically almost no difference (In terms of sound and comfort). Except that the tygrs are easier to drive.
Is the DT 990 edition 600ohm worth it with K5 pro?
I have the DT 990 Edition 600Ohm running with a K5 pro. I’ll probably stay a long while with these. Imo they’re as good as it gets without breaking the bank.
