Are Rollerblade axles universal?
Purchasing the correct length is the key factor and we have found that both 30mm and 33mm axles are somewhat interchangeable and will fit on most skates while 36mm are generally large and do not fit on many skates. It is very important for you to measure your current axle’s length to ensure a proper fit.
What size are roller skate axles?
Most of the new skates use 8mm axles so the standard 8mm bearings would be needed. The older models, and high end skates use 7mm axles so they would need the 7mm bearings.
How do you make inline skate wheels spin faster?
Dirty/rusty bearing can definitely hinder your skate experience. We recommend using the Bones Bearing Tool to pop your bearings out your wheel, then use cleaners like Qube Bearing Spa to clean them out. To amp up your speed, we suggest adding lube, like Bones Speed Cream to your bearings after cleaning them.
Can you use skateboard wheels on roller skates?
Skateboard wheels would work well on roller skates. On the other hand, the large wheel size might occasionally increase the weight of roller skates, affecting your skating performance. So, if skateboard wheels’ diameter range is between 55 and 65 mm, you can use it safely.

Basically you want them tight enough that the wheel is secure but when you spin your wheels they move freely. If you over tighten the bolts you can create friction and they won’t roll nicely.
