Does LSE do languages?
Students can choose one of five modern languages: French; German; Mandarin; Russian or Spanish. Previous language study is desirable, but not required.
Is London School of Economics hard to get into?
LSE is a highly competitive institution. The high level of competition means that achieving, or being predicted to achieve, our usual standard offer grades does not guarantee that an offer of admission will be made. In 2021, we received approximately 26,000 applications for roughly 1,700 places.
Does LSE do English?

Is UCL better than LSE for law?
The real alternative was between LSE and UCL. I chose UCL over LSE: I relied on the Times rankings, the courses on offer and the fact that several prominent lawyers and judges in my country went to UCL. UCL is higher in the rankings, and more strict as to admission standards.

Does LSE need Toefl?
Minimum scores required are: IELTS – overall score of 7.0 (6.0 in speaking and writing and 6.5 in listening and reading), or TOEFL – overall score of 107 (23 in reading and listening, 22 in writing and 20 in speaking.
Does London School of Economics accept Toefl?
Test validity We will not accept individual components scores from multiple tests. IELTS, TOEFL, Pearson, and Trinity are also only valid for two years. Applicants can only use these qualifications if they were taken within two years of the start of your programme, which is 1 September of your year of entry.

What is mooting at LSE?
Mooting develops the participants’ capacity in legal research, argument, writing and oral advocacy. LSE students take part in internal, national and international competitions. The department has a specially designed Moot Court Room where some of these competitions take place. Pro bono work is unpaid legal work undertaken for the public good.

How do I apply to LSE?
