The Rod Laver’s are a great looking fashion sneaker (I purchased the grey color version), but I do not recommend these for athletic activity (especially tennis). The shoes are slightly heavy and too stiff for tennis.

My expectation for the new Rod Laver sneakers were the same (initially tight and eventually loosen up). My initial observation of the Rod Laver sneakers is they are somewhat heavy and stiff. When you first put on the shoes, you will feel tightness in the middle of the shoe and more pronouncedly in the heel of the shoe.
