Did DOD become Digitech?
In the 1990s, as Digitech (the digital partner company to DOD) continued to expand, the leader of DOD, John Johnson, decided to go fully into Digitech and commit all of his time to its growth. In doing so, he handed over the entire DOD pedal line to a punk-rocking skateboarder named Jason Lamb.
Are DOD and Digitech the same?
Harman. The DOD/Digitech brands are owned by Harman (a Samsung subsidiary). There is no official announcement yet, so we don’t know anything about the reasoning behind this drastic move. According to Tom, his team’s work was last seen at Summer NAMM 2017, but that he has designs lined up and ready for the next 5 years.

Is DigiTech still a company?
Another viable answer to this could be that DigiTech brand got bought by someone else and Harman shuttered it completely. Though as Fluff points out in his below video, the DigiTech team was laid off in 2017 after Samsung bought Harman and production was moved.

Cor-Tek builds its own instruments and over the weekend has announced it has acquired the DigiTech and DOD brand. You may know the company from its Cort brand of guitars, so this could be the perfect fit for the two effect pedal brands.
