Do Dell docking stations work with all laptops?
Dell commercial docks are designed to be used with our commercial laptops and 2-in-1 computers. These include Latitude, Precision, and some XPS laptops. Different dock models are recommended based on power requirements and ports.
Can you use old Dell docking station with new laptop?
You can’t use the old style dock with the new laptops. You either need a USB C dock or connect the monitors directly to the system. The dock works from the docking connector, connecting one of the dock video ports to the laptop won’t do anything. You need to connect the USB C to DisplayPort adapter to the monitor.
