How can I tell how old my DiMarzio pickups are?
The easiest way to identify an old pickup is to look for a model number on the back. Some of our early models were not identified by model numbers, and some of our OEM models have a different numbering system.

What humbuckers did Evh use?
Eddie installed a PAF humbucker from his ES-335 and cannibalized the tremolo unit from his Strat. (The Floyd Rose unit was added later.) The pickup was installed at a slight angle to compensate for the differing string spacings of the Fender tremolo and the Gibson humbucker.
Are DiMarzio better than Seymour Duncan?
