How often replace pump parts Medela Pump in Style?

Medela pump parts such as valves and membranes should be replaced every 2 to 8 weeks. This depends on the number of pumping sessions they are used in each day. Other Medela pump parts such as breast shields, connectors, and bottles should be replaced every 6 months or if they look dirty.

Can Medela Symphony parts be used with pump in style?

Pump in Style with MaxFlow has unique parts and was designed to be a closed system at the kit, which means its tubing is designed to work with PersonalFit Flex Connectors only. Using your Symphony kit with Pump in Style MaxFlow will cause milk back-up into the tubing and result in irreversible damage to your pump.

Are breast pump accessories interchangeable?

Yes, Spectra Valves Fit Medela flanges. Medela valves and membranes also fit on Spectra flanges. They are interchangeable if you are using the two most common Medela pumps, like the Medela Pump In Style Advanced or the Medela Symphony.

Why is my pump in style not working?

If you are experiencing low suction, first check the valves and membranes: Separate the membranes from the valves. Inspect the valves and membranes for damage, including cracks, chips, holes, or tears, and make sure the pieces fit snugly and lie flat. If a part is damaged, discontinue use and purchase a replacement.

Will Medela replace my pump?

Can you interchange Medela pump parts?
