How to configure Shareaza?
Configuring the Firewall or Router If you find an open port, configure Shareaza to use it by going to Tools > Shareaza Settings > Internet > Connection and entering the port in the port box.
How does Shareaza work?
Shareaza is an all-purpose file sharing client. It allows you to share your files with other people on the internet, and of course download files that other people are sharing. This works with any file type.
How good is Shareaza?
Shareaza is focused and lean, with a gorgeous interface and connections to the Gnutella2, Gnutella, eDonkey, and BitTorrent networks. It’s also handsome and easy to use; we had no trouble quickly figuring out how to search, check our network status, and customize the interface through a healthy choice of skins.
Is Shareaza safe to use?
Shareaza is believed to be reasonably secured against attacks. In the years that Shareaza has been in use by a large community, no security flaw has been detected. Shareaza only permits people to download the files you specify and will not upload any other file from your computer.
Is BearShare still available?
As of June 12, 2016, BearShare is no longer available to download. The official page with a message announcing its discontinuation remained active until March 2017.
