This Katana/Machete arrived in good shape at first glance. There were several machining issues and the blade may have passed the “paper test” in a few spots on mine, mostly a rough grind. I learned from an Ontario Knife purchase that if one part of the build sux then check for others.

How good is a machete Pruner?
Great for branches up to about 3/4″ but you have to use a bit of muscle and be aware of the sweet spot on the blade. About 6″ from the tip is excellent. I would buy it again, but my pruners with extendable handles are best for near ground cutting. Machete is good from above head to about mid thigh height for optimum use.
