The core stories for both animes are very similar, a young girl who was more or less pushed into the dangerous business of an assassin and has practically nowhere to run, no family, friends outside the business etc. Kite is more mature and “evil” though, it shows more clearly the dark side of human beings. Both animes are quite tragic.
