Can you dorm with the opposite gender at UCR?
Students living in the Gender-Inclusive Housing Option can enjoy all of the traditional social and educational programming offered by our Residential Life team to all residence hall students. However, no additional gender-inclusive programming is offered on this hall.
Can freshman have cars at UC Riverside?
Due to limited parking availability on campus, freshman residents are NOT allowed to bring a vehicle to campus unless they are approved for an exemption. Exemptions are based on a documented, compelling need for campus parking such as for having an off-campus job or the need to travel for medical reasons.

Our Residence Halls are home primarily to UCR’s First Time Freshmen, but are also available to Transfer and Continuing UCR students, and returning residents. Contracts are now available. The Campus Apartments are available for all Continuing, Transfer and Graduate students.

Current UCR students (including students admitted for Fall 2022), students visiting from other college campuses, students not currently enrolled in college and international students can take summer classes at UCR. If you are a current UCR student, you will enroll in summer classes in R’Web starting in early April 2022.
