Is there parking at Lookout Mountain Preserve?
The trails around Lookout Mountain Preserve are mostly well-marked, though a few in/around the Tapatio Golf Course do rather blend into the terrain. In our case, parking was not an issue due to the proximity of our house to the trails in the Preserve, but there is ample parking near Lookout Mountain Park, off of N 18th Street.

Some practical tips: Go to the Google Maps location for Lookout Mountain Trailhead 308, as it starts at the same place, then follow the trail markers for 150 (it splits off shortly afterward). The trail is pretty well marked, but if you’re going up for sunrise make sure to bring a flashlight of some kind. Also, watch out for the loose rocks!
