Who makes WIndham Weaponry bolts?
The bolt is made from Carpenter 158 steel, which is mil-spec. There is no indication on the bolt that the bolt was magnetic particle inspected (such as an “MP” inscription) if that matters to you. The bolt carrier is marked “JC” and is, according to WIndham Weaponry, manufactured by J.C. Machine of Phoenix, Arizona.
How far can a 7.62 x39 shoot?
Un-tuned, these rifles (scoped) often produce accuracy of between 1.5 and 3 MOA, similar to the SKS and AK-47, giving acceptable accuracy out to ranges of 100 to 200 yards. As a youth training cartridge, the 7.62×39 is not completely ideal.
Is 7.63 x39 the same as 308?
308 is a faster flying cartridge than the 7.62×39 round. Even though the 7.62×39 is a lighter bullet, there is just more room for a higher powder charge in the . 308 cartridges which gives it much more energy leaving the muzzle.

The “Windham Weaponry 7.62×39 SRC” comes with one thirty-round magazine from D&H Industries out of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. I find the thirty-round magazine cumbersome for most of my uses, and I will probably order a few 5-round, 10-round, and 20-round magazines for general use while ordering a few more 30-round magazines for “Critical Duty.”

The Windham Weaponry 7.62×39 SRC was intended to fire a Russian cartridge; the hammer spring was beefed up for Berdan primers, the feed ramp was modified to accept the 7.62x39mm cartridge, and magazines that were developed for the AR to house the cartridge and allow them to feed properly function properly.

Does Windham Weaponry sell C-Mags?
WIndham Weaponry is now including C Products Defense (aka C-Mags or CPD mags) magazines with the 7.62x39mm version (I can’t say if that is true with other calibers) and they are currently available on their website.
